Visiosonic
had a unique product that people wanted, especially at the
height of the MP3 demand. Problem was, they didn't have the
money to reach the market. And time was not on their side.
They
brought me in, and in a few short days I had written a complete
business plan with forecasts, budgets and pro-forma financials.
The plan was realistic and acheivable, and it helped investors
to understand the opportunity as well as the larger context
for the business. We heard time and again that this was the
first business plan investors really understood.
But
we weren't looking for compliments. I helped pitch the company
to investment bankers, venture capitalists, and high net
worth individuals, helping raise $8,000,000 in a very short
period of time. The results were that the company was able
to grow and prosper, and the opportunity was realized. And
we also built the company's first website, developed the
first ecommerce platform, designed the first boxes, built
a retail sales force, made joint presentations to key partners
like Coca-Cola, Rolling Stone, CDNOW, Sprite, and many others.
